Spey Valley Golf Course
Golf Club << Previous golf course

Spey Valley golf course is perhaps the most scenic course in Scotland. It is set in some of the most breathtaking scenery in the Scottish Highlands, if not the world, and is predicted to be one of Scotland’s leading golf venues.

The 18 holes layout measures a total of almost 7200 yards and features one of the longest par 5 holes in Scotland, which, from the back tees is full 641 yards in length. With a spectacular backdrop of the Cairngorm Mountains, and the relaxing sound of the fl owing River Spey, the Spey Valley Highland course is a sure winner

7th Hole - Signature Hole

Located just 30 minutes south of
the Highland capital Inverness, on
the doorstep of the Cairngorm
Mountains.

The par 4, 7th is classed as the Signature Hole’. Measuring 409 yards from the white medal tees, it is by no means the longest par 4 in the world, however, trouble awaits errant shots but also off ers a real ‘risk reward’ style of play.

There are 2 options on how to play the hole. For the less adventurous, the route from the tee is a longish iron down the left side of the fairway avoiding the bunkers, which would leave another long iron in to the green.

Alternatively for the longer hitters, driver from the tee would need to fl y approximately 270 yards to carry the waiting fairway bunkers which would set you up with a much shorter approach uphill, to a fairly undulating green.
